Katelee turned 4 last week finishing up our busy birthday season. She is our little St. Patty's girl, which in itself is ironic because 2 of my 3 kids have reddish hair. Katelee is the one that doesn't, while she wanted to recognize her Irish roots by appearing on leprechaun's day, she has not the red hue or freckles or light coloring. We celebrated with a flip flop cake (gluten free, of course)
presents and dinner of green food and good company with Grandma and Grandpa and Aunt Shannon. Katelee got a new bike and couldn't wait to try it out. She took off without a hitch.
She chose to go to Kangaroo Zoo for a party
with Brenna and Grant and they ran around like wild animals.
Katelee is a pure girl. She cries daily, those tears can appear instantly and with drama like you have never before experienced. However, overall she is so fun and pleasant. We consider her to be like a little ray of sunshine,
cheesy-yes, but true. She is so sunny and bubbly and skips, dances, sings her way through the day (with the previously mentioned dramatic outbursts sporadically placed). Even one of her friends asked her the other day as she was making up songs and bouncing around, "Why are you so happy?" Maybe she will be our optimist. She turned to me during church the other day and said, "Why do they always talk about Satan?!" She would rather we all burst out in happy songs like she does and peform some impromptu musical. I guess it could happen. Love our sunny lass!

Did you make that flip flop cake? It's so cute.
So- how has the gluten free cooking/eating been going? Has your whole family taken it on? Has it been hard on your little girl?
Happy Birthday Katelee! And yes, you are the cake master - assuming that you made that adorable cake. Katelee's hair is super long. She looks so old just riding her own bike. Very sweet.
You are in trouble with that beauty! She is adorable. Isn't it great to have a ray of sunshine to remind you that is how we should be. We should all break out into song some time (wouldn't it be loverly:( (get the pun??!--just watched that movie the other day:)
Anyhoo I love the flip flop cake--holy awesome! Glad you get to take a little break from birthdays-our season just began.
Love ya! Tell all the girls hello at the get together. Wish I could be there.
We thought about sweet little Katelee on her birthday!! We were at Disney World but did remember it was her birthday!! Looks like she had a great one!! Love you guys!!
Love, love, LOVE, this girl! Happy Birthday sweet and beautiful, Katelee.
Happy Birthday!! How was the cake? You are nice I just did not make my husband anything for his Birthday!!
Wow! You went all out on the cakes this year! Mason just had his #4 and all I did was put an army guy on top (his request, really) and called it good. It sounds like you've got a very sweetly spirited little girl there!
